Long overdue

This machine, built in 1922 but has been in my family for 40 years.  When my mom gave it to me 15 years ago she said "you should put a motor on it".  Well, I finally did.  I also rebuilt, cleaned, tuned it up a bit and made the table.  Not to mention, with some advice from Pineapple Jay, I picked out the appropriate needles and thread to start getting a little more decorative with my saddle making.

Head Lamps for the SR project are all snug as a bug in a rug.  These will use the same LED unit that I used in the Papaglide, only X2 .  All that is left with the fab is a belly pan or skid plate .  I hope to have the frame in the paint booth within the week.

Gordo's Trumpet Longbike

1969 Bonneville purchased new in 69 was turned into a chopper in the early 70's.
a short while later the original owner had it in his driveway where someone backed into and mash fucked it up a bit.  From there he rolled it into the garage where it sat for 40 plus years until Gordo spotted it and eventually worked out a deal and rolled out with it for a song.   It was a super well done  for the times ,  nothing outrageous and for the most part clean and well .
I straightened out the collision damage, upgraded and rewired the electrical system, replaced the ignition with a modern electronic setup and rebuilt the carbs.   Was a blast to ride.

Some progress

A little progress on the SR.    The ole lady tossed the front drive shaft of her land rover and some of the shrapnel blew a gaping hole in her trans.  This has consumed most of my time and shop floor for the past week.    I have patched up the tranny and the new shaft should be in later today.  I hope to put this to rest , catch up on customer stuff and get back to the SR project by Friday.

Not a chopper chopping,  I'm building this as a mini adventure / street tracker.

Motorcycle House Gear

So, over the coarse of a few months I had this dude from Motorcycle House , Dewayne Jasper, which is the parent company of Viking bags   send me email after email about trying out some of their gear.  I had my mind in other places building bikes and putting them in shows.   Things are starting to wind down a bit here and there was Dewayne asking for a honest review on their stuff .  After surfing the site for a while I picked out a new coat and fired over the address .     Seems like they have a ton of cool luggage and stuff for decent pricing.  I will let you know about the value as soon as I've had a chance to beat up my new coat a bit.
