Frozen Pee Pee Ride

Fridays ride.   Started the cold ride down Michigan Ave. and stopped at Two James for a drink and to warm up a bit. After that we decided that it was nice enough to go for the Zon tour and hit Zug island and take in some stink.  Ever since I order that white Russian with Brad I have been craving one so we hit up the lager house on Michigan ave.  and had another.  By this time the temp had dropped allot so we headed home warming our hands on our cylinder heads when we could.
I am not prepared for the cold this year and it seems premature.

Not bad for a Monday

When I got home from work yesterday, I had received a bunch of parts in the mail for the ole ladies Trouble Rover when Brad simply text me " Downtown Roll ? " so, I asked the wife what I should do, stay and do the brakes on her rover or go ride around with Brad?  She said " go with Brad, you don't have much riding left" .   Some ladies just know how to make a man happy if ya know what I mean.    We ended the night at the Lager House with a white Russian and a sandwich.  Froze my dick off on the way home though.  Not bad for a Monday.

Friday ghetto run, anyone ?

So,  last Friday Brad shot me a message that he was downtown riding by his lonesome.  I want to make sure that doesn't happen this Friday.  So, Friday I would like to meet up at 2 James around 5:30 ish , go for a short jaunt around post apocalyptic Detroit and hit Mexican town for some Taco's.   Everyone is welcome to come ,  there is not much good weather like this left so lets do it!

Detroit blitz

Brad messaged me Friday on his way out of work to meet him down town at Two James for some urban exploring.  Something I've been wanting to do for a while so I cleared up my schedule and off I went.
I cant express the feeling of riding around in Detroit but its allot like a post apocalyptic scenario.  Everything is deserted, 4 lanes of asphalt are yours to ride on how you see fit and the once bustling infrastructure of the city make for some amazing yet creepy places to ride.
Living in the suburbs of Detroit, you can't so much as rev your engine without Johnny law extracting $200 from your bank account and treating you like a menace to the human race.  Part of the allure of riding there is for this reason alone.  It gives the feeling of freedom that the motorcycle was meant for. The feeling that warms your soul as you twist your grip and leave all your thoughts in your wake. I was grinning ear to ear as I shifted at 15000 revs, let the music sing out of the tail pipe and outran my troubles.
We stopped at the site of the Edmond Fitzgerald memorial just a stones through away from Canada where we relaxed and watched a few freighters cruise by.  From there we detoured through some questionable areas to get to Mexican town for some dinner where we had burritos, tacos, spoke of future projects and the state of current ones.
I cant wait to go do it again soon.
