The bobbers

Plymouth Coffee shop was a construction disaster so we rode over to Marcel's where the XS650 battle began. Marcel was a little jelly after riding the splitter, She's a quick little one.
My XS650 Bobber on the top. Saw Gabby out on her little fucker . Mini b's Sporty quit charging ( again ) and Dave complained about his idle a bit. But for the most part it was a cool day to take a ride.

XS650 Hardtail Chop Inspirational Photos

Whatever these have in common , I like them .
Especially the one on the bottom. I like the hard tail conversion on the second one down the best.
I like the one on top for all the brass do dads ,but may be a bit to classy for what I want to do with it. I want to keep it low, short, stock rake and bmx style mid controls. I would like suicide shift but I'm not so sure that mixes with the Bolts Action style riding I want to use this for.

Pin Stripin , with a old beugler tool

Pin Striping with an old bugler tool.
It's no secret, I'm not the most talented pinstripe artist out there so getting the super skinny lines requires either a professional or a bugler stripe tool. Don't get me wrong the bugler requires some skill of its own so I hate to consider it cheating . Thanks to my daughter for snapping the pics.

Yamabob Maxichop = EL CHUPACABRA

The Yamabob is now called EL CHUPACABRA . check it out .
This is also my first shot at a hand tooled leather saddle. I like how the tooling came out but I'm not real happy with the black sides , they are good enough for now.
Pipes are stock, just coated black until I get sick of the way it sounds.

Yamahamabobarama Day 12

Let me know what you think so far.
We are not sure whether to leave the stock pipes on there or make something custom.
The stock pipes don't look bad and keep the hidden battery box hidden , but they're stock, I hate stock shit. I will put up a poll and see what the world thinks.

Maxichop Yamabob day 3

Frame mods done for the time being. I chopped about 5.5 inches out of the forks and welded the top back on. I wasn't sure if that was possible but it seems to have worked out well. This photo is missing rear suspension but the goal is low low low, I like sparks when I turn.
Rear fender or no rear fender is the next decision I guess

Yamabob , day 2

Allrighty, My brother and I went and picked this ugly monster up on Saturday, tore it apart, made sure it was a runner and began to chop. This is a quick picture at the end of day 2. Back bone chopped out and replaced with a single tube as well as the rear end bobbed off.
