Mike, Stu's new ride

Stu picked this up from a Craigslist and he has named it " Mike " .
Apparently this was originally purchased new by a young man named Mike who truly loved to ride it in the mid 60"s .  Sadly he was called to duty in the Vietnam war and did not return leaving his prized super cub in the barn somewhere in Southwest Michigan.  Not long ago it was on its was to the scrap yard when it was rescued by a retired gentleman who did his best to clean her up and get it going. Stu made a good buy although it needs some tuning and minor rebuilding, it is pretty nice.   My grandpa and I build one of these when I was 8 years old and I have been looking for one for myself for some time now.  Brings back great memories .  I remember it being so much bigger though.....

Anthony's new KTM 900 adventure bike

Leave it to family to rub it in....
My closest cousin Anthony just picked up a new ride and he wrote.... "New KTM Adventure, $14998. Hard luggage, crash bars, heated grips, additional $1600. Riding your dream bike to the top of Taylor Pass (11,400ft!) Priceless!"
Anthony and I are like separated brothers and friends from birth, he still lives in Aspen Colorado, so this is his daily view. I miss it out there and I need to visit as soon as I can.

Bell Custom 500

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on a new helmet.
Sorry builtwell , I thought long and hard about getting one of your super awesome heavy flake lids. I day dreamt about all the 70's paint schemes I would like to do on one.
The bell just had more comfort and custom fit options and rather than burden myself with more work, I ordered the limited edition graphic. I will be ordering a bubble shield in the near future.
