I have almost given up on the CV carb for the turbo bike. I have maxed out the the main jet and it seems that I am no where near the fuel it needs when it goes into a boost condition. I think the plunger is getting confused and seems to shut when the air really starts moving. The slow jet and idle is perfect now though and it actually drives OK until you want to open it up . It is as difficult to tune as I thought it would be, but I had high hopes for at least a good base tune by now.
Anyone have a old Bendix Carb from a Ironhead or something? These worked well on the old Z1Rtc's and with the adjustable main jet it should make easy work of base line tuning.
I still need to pull some timing out as well and screw around with the advance curve before it is ever 100% tuned. Not to mention it already seems to blow through the clutch when the boost starts coming on so I will have to address that at some point.
