Cool pic of the taint splitter under construction.

By the looks of the pic on top,  I had just roughed in the tank.    I wonder what I did with the key for the steering lock?  hmmms.
In the bottom pick , it looks like I had a lot to do on the frame yet and was considering a giant shock for the seat.  I'm glad I used the mountain bike shock for that.

Day dreaming of mini vintage campers , all of these are radd

For sale!

My 56 Belair
It is what it is,   New everything as far as chrome, suspension brakes drivetrain etc.
the only non-stock mod is front and rear anti sway bars.   This car was built to drive.   That being said, the interior is mostly original except the carpet some paint and the front seat cushion is replaced under the original fabric.    this car was ultra clean to start with and when I did the body , not a single hole was filled or welded up.
It saddens me to part with it but I have to many cars as it is and the ole lady and I want to buy a little vintage camper and pay bills, to do that I need money and space.
I have it listed on Craig's list for $15000  which is a fair price, I have seen them sell in rougher shape on eBay for 19 K.  Rather than waste time on eBay and giving them their cut and probably uncle Sam's cut. Its best to just cash it out for 15K.
Spread the word.

It's on!

The engraved hunk of aluminum is just the plaque for the trophy, more to come.  I can't take credit for the speedo, that was totally mini-b's idea. It will certainly find its way into one of these trophies though.

More Trust Worthy

I ordered some molly studs from APE for the turbo bike.  These should keep the head on straight.  They are much thicker than the ones I have in there.
That's what I get for cheap'n out in the fastener department.
In the mean time I am adding more oil cooler to it to try to keep the temps down.   I am also looking into converting it to E85.  I hear it tunes easier and runs 15% cooler.

Frame mod complete

I welded and painted the frame mod last night.  I was originally holding the coil pack with a couple of P clamps, this allowed me to make a proper mount for it .   Now I have to actually fix the motor.  I will be on that just as soon as I get some bad ass head studs for it.

Finished making my frame connectors

I still need to weld it all up but you get the point.  I'm pretty happy with the way they fit and after they are welded I plan on making some cross supports that I can mount my coil to etc.   I should have done this in the first place but hind sight is always 20/20.
